BUYERS NOTES
UK Exclusive One of the very best delphiniums from seed, equal in quality to expensive cutting-raised plants. The tall, sturdy stems of Delphinium Centurion Lilac Blue Bicolour are covered in truly stunning bi-coloured blooms with triple-layered petals in lilac and blue shades with a white central 'bee'. (Flowers from July to September in its first year if sown before the end of February).
Sowing Information:
Sow seeds February to april. Sow seeds on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost and cover with a light sprinkling of vermiculite. Seal container inside a polythene bag or place in a propagator at a temperature of 10-15C (50-59F) until after germination which can take 21-40 days. Do not exclude light, as this helps germination.
Growing Information:
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into trays or 7.5cm (3in) pots. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 6cm (24in) apart.
Aftercare Information:
For best results, provide a sunny, sheltered site and a deep, fertile, well-drained soil.
